Inside Service Sales Representative

Job Description

The Inside Service Sales Representative is a fully remote role responsible for driving service revenue through proactive customer engagement, solution selling, and execution of service sales strategies. This role focuses on expanding service contract penetration, generating new service opportunities, renewing existing agreements, and supporting overall customer satisfaction. The Inside Service Sales Representative serves as a key connection between customers, field service teams, and internal support groups to ensure that service solutions meet both customer needs and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Drive service sales growth through proactive outreach, lead qualification, and solution-based selling.

  • Generate quotes for service contracts, repairs, upgrades, and extended warranties; follow up to secure closing.

  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts to increase service revenue.

  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for inbound service sales inquiries.

  • Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their service needs, equipment lifecycle, and operational priorities.

  • Support customer retention through timely communication, follow-ups, and issue resolution in partnership with service operations.

Service Contract & Renewal Management

  • Manage the full lifecycle of service contract renewals, including quoting, negotiations, and contract execution.

  • Track expiration dates and proactively engage customers to maintain service continuity.

  • Analyze customer usage and service history to propose the right service levels and offerings.

  • Collaboration with Commercial Teams

  • Provide sales insights to operations partners to support forecasting, planning, and resource allocation.

  • Coordinate with marketing and product teams on service campaigns, promotions, and new offerings.

Pipeline Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, quotes, and opportunities in CRM systems.

  • Provide periodic reports on sales performance, forecasts, customer trends, and competitive feedback.

  • Use analytics and dashboards to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in sales approach.

  • Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Streamline quoting, follow-up, and documentation workflows to increase efficiency and reduce cycle time.

  • Offer feedback to improve service offerings, pricing structures, and customer engagement processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in medical device marketing, sales, customer service, or related roles

  • Experience in a service/repair or technical product industry.

  • Knowledge of equipment lifecycle, parts, or service delivery processes.

  • Ability to interpret technical information and translate it into customer value.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage complex quotes and pricing.

  • Strong understanding of service as a product related to contracts, repairs, maintenance programs, or technical service environments.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, SAP C4C, Oracle, or equivalent).

  • Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales targets.

0-20% Travel

Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is 61,360 - 88,400. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level. The salary range is CONMED’s good faith belief at the time of this posting.
