Senior Sales Analyst - Territory Optimization

Job Summary

Responsible for strategizing and executing analytics, with a primary focus on identifying opportunities to simplify and enhance sales territories, profitability, and operational efficiency. This role involves comprehensive ownership of procedures and processes, ongoing development and standardization within Territory Optimization and Sales Enablement teams, and in-depth data analysis to uncover opportunities for simplifying, enhancing, or optimizing sales processes. Presents findings and recommendations to management, including senior-level leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and support to leadership, ensuring accountability for meeting or exceeding objectives and priorities.

  • Develop and analyze moderately complex reports and queries, measuring trends, efficiencies, and the effectiveness of territory optimization.

  • Apply detailed business analysis and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and drive actionable insights.

  • Develop key metrics and processes to track, analyze, communicate, and act upon operational and territory optimization metrics.

  • Support continuous departmental improvement by leading and contributing to initiatives aimed at growing and retaining business.

  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Sales Compensation, and other departments to develop, create, and maintain reporting requirements, ensuring systems provide accurate and timely data.

  • Build business relationships and communicate effectively with Sales Leaders and Senior Leadership through consistent collaboration.

  • Identify and implement improvements to adjust or change controls in alignment with business needs and changes.

  • Work with cross-functional team members to review potential business requirements and identify their measurable impact on respective functional areas.

  • Provide education, expert advice, and guidance to business stakeholders, especially on territory optimization matters and issues.

  • Guide and mentor junior analysts as needed.

  • Collaborate with the manager and team members on special projects as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Relevant Work Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in sales analysis or related area.

Additional:

  • Ability to successfully apply standard financial, accounting, and business problem-solving skills to business problems with multiple variables.

  • Technical proficiency with data analysis tools and software, including advanced-level skill in Microsoft Excel.

  • Aptitude for developing solutions to business problems with strong ability to present findings and recommendations.

  • Experience in guiding and mentoring junior analysts.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including actively voicing opinions and recommendations to other team members, fostering a collaborative environment.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$79,560.00 - $115,440.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
