District Sales Manager

Amplity Health is seeking a District Sales Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a goal-oriented, solutions-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. The District Manager (DM) is responsible for leading a team of Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives to achieve or surpass sales objectives. Reporting directly to the Amplity National Program Director, the DM will play a vital role in developing and maintaining a high-performing, compliant, and results-driven culture.

The DM oversees the recruitment, hiring, training, and retention of a talented sales team. They will guide, coach, and mentor their team to success, fostering collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

This is a salaried position with bonus potential and includes a comprehensive benefits package. The salary range for this position is approximately $160K-$165K

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed district sales goals and objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales data to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Address and resolve team or client concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure strict adherence to ethical standards, laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to align objectives and strategies.
  • Develop and mentor Sales Representatives to enhance their skills and drive performance.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate individual and team performance through KPI tracking and reviews.
  • Leverage sales metrics and CRM tools to optimize team performance and results.
  • Foster a team culture that values collaboration, accountability, and recognition.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to maintain alignment and engagement.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and nurture a high-performing sales team capable of consistently achieving sales targets.
  • Monitor district expenditures and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Travel weekly within the region and attend client and corporate meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties assigned to support the program’s success.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of successful pharmaceutical sales management experience.
  • Specialty pharmaceutical sales management experience preferred
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical management experience a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Skilled in attracting, interviewing, and hiring top sales talent in a compliant and professional manner.
  • Proven ability to coach sales teams and develop effective employee retention strategies.
  • Resilient and adept at overcoming barriers to success.
  • Integrity-driven with a focus on developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with a safe driving record and ability to pass a background check (including motor vehicle records).
  • Ability to travel weekly as needed (50% or more).
  • Proficiency in digital meeting platforms and Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.

Credentialing Requirements:

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers.  It is the Company’s expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.  

Additionally, certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change, including the potential for additions or modifications. In the event of any significant changes, you will be notified accordingly.
