AET Sales Specialist based in Kuala Lumpur

Lead capital equipment sales across Malaysia, driving new business, tender preparation, and long‑term growth opportunities.

What will you be doing?

  • Drive capital equipment sales strategy across Malaysia, focusing on long‑term growth opportunities.
  • Generate and qualify leads, working closely with sales representatives to penetrate new accounts and expand market share.
  • Convert new business to Smith & Nephew SPM by engaging key surgeons and decision‑makers.
  • Work with customers to define and mould technical specifications that align with product capabilities and clinical needs.
  • Prepare tender documents and submissions to ensure compliance with procurement requirements.
  • Provide technical and surgical knowledge to customers for optimum use of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Support product demonstrations, installations, and training in operating theatre environments.
  • Deliver emergency service and clinical support within defined timescales and quality levels.
  • Ensure instruments and equipment are maintained in good, clean, and operative condition.
  • Acquire and maintain in‑depth knowledge of procedures, techniques, products, and competitor offerings.
  • Keep regularly up to date with clinical publications and developments relevant to targeted techniques.
  • Partner with colleagues across Smith & Nephew to maximize cross‑GBU opportunities.
  • Act responsibly to comply with workplace safety, health, and security policies.
  • Acquire and maintain deep knowledge of territory, purchasing protocols, competitor activity, and market trends.
  • Liaise with Product Managers to evaluate new products and target key national surgeons.

What will you need to be successful?

Success in the role will requires a combination of technical knowledge, soft skills, and a deep understanding of both the business and service-providing sides of an organization.

Successful candidates would need the following:

  • Degree in healthcare, science, or technical field.
  • 3–4 years’ experience in technical, application, and clinical support.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in medical device sales.
  • Experience in tender preparation and customer specification alignment is an advantage.
  • Valid Class 3 driving license.
