Your Role at Baxter
As a Territory Business Manager (TBM) in Baxter’s Advanced Surgery division, you are the strategic owner of your territory and the face of Baxter to healthcare professionals. You will drive growth by delivering value-based solutions, earning trust through expertise, and enabling surgical teams to innovate in the operating room. You will take full accountability for achieving sales objectives while positioning Baxter as a long-term partner to clinical and administrative stakeholders.
Your Team
You will be a leader within Baxter’s Field Sales organization, collaborating closely with Associate Sales Representatives, sales leadership, and cross-functional partners. Your role requires strong partnership with marketing, supply chain, and hospital stakeholders to advance shared goals and deliver meaningful impact for customers and patients.
Territory: Greater Toronto Area and parts of Northern Ontario
What You’ll Be Doing
Achieving and exceeding sales quotas through direct sales of Baxter’s Advanced Surgery portfolio
Educating surgeons and OR teams on proper, on-label product use, features, and benefits
Calling on prospective and existing accounts to deliver product demonstrations and technical expertise
Building trusted relationships with physicians, hospital administration, supply chain, and purchasing teams
Monitoring territory performance against forecasts and identifying market opportunities
Analyzing competitive activity and adapting sales strategies accordingly
Providing actionable feedback to leadership and marketing to support product and program development
Working autonomously while maintaining consistent communication with management
Supporting broader team initiatives and contributing beyond the scope of individual responsibilities
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or 8+ years of operating room sales experience (high school diploma required at minimum)
High school diploma or GED required
Proven success in hospital-based selling within the operating room environment
Experience managing a large territory and complex customer relationships
Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated mastery of core sales competencies:
Sales effectiveness and ownership of results
Product, clinical, and therapy knowledge
Business and marketplace insight
Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the GTA and parts of Northern Ontario (minimal overnight travel required)
Residency within the territory or willingness to relocate; territory familiarity strongly preferred
We understand that compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated salary range for this position is $113,000 - $157,000 annually, which is inclusive of base salary as well as estimated commissions based on expected target performance. Individual pay will be determined based upon skills, expertise, and experience, as well as achievement of sales performance to goal.
