About the Role:

Responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans for targeted regional pharmacy accounts, including those that focus on behavioral health and independent Long-Term Care. Builds and sustains high-value relationships across targeted pharmacy accounts to optimize product access, promote educational initiatives, and support brand growth. Leverages cross-functional resources (including but not limited to Market Access Marketing, Pricing and Contracting, Reimbursement, and Medical) to deliver customer-centric solutions aligned with Neurocrine’s strategic priorities and compliant with all company policies and industry regulations.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

  • Develops and executes comprehensive, account-specific business plans aligned to national and regional strategies, with a focus on access, appropriate utilization, and education across assigned pharmacy accounts

  • Builds and maintains strategic, long-term relationships with key stakeholders by understanding customer business models, organizational structure, and decision-making processes

  • Implements approved contracting strategies in collaboration with Pricing, Contracts, and Trade to optimize account performance and ensure effective access

  • Analyzes and monitors account performance, including contract performance, product usage, and market share trends; adjusts strategies to meet customer needs

  • Identifies, maps, and engages key decision-makers and influencers within assigned accounts; coordinates appropriate engagement with internal stakeholders (e.g., Market Access, Medical, Reimbursement)

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, proactively identifying opportunities and addressing barriers to access and appropriate utilization

  • Provides actionable insights to internal stakeholders regarding market dynamics, competitive activity, customer needs, and emerging trends

  • Collaborates cross-functionally to align on account strategies and ensure seamless execution of initiatives supporting customer and organizational goals

  • Communicates regularly with leadership on business performance, risks, and opportunities within the territory

  • Accountable for disciplined execution and measurable outcomes (e.g. access, utilization, performance).

  • Ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Neurocrine policies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related Scientific Field AND 8+ years of sales experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, with strong experience engaging pharmacies and organized customers in the behavioral health and long-term care sectors. Experience working with LTC, specialty pharmacies, and/or hub services is also preferred. OR

  • Master's Degree AND 6+ years of similar experience noted above

  • Account Management & Strategic Relationships

    • Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain strategic relationships with pharmacy accounts and key decision-makers

    • Experience managing complex accounts across a defined geographic region

    • Proven ability to navigate and succeed in multi-level stakeholder environments

  • Business Development & Execution

    • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales and performance objectives

    • Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable account plans

    • Ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within assigned accounts

  • Industry & Market Expertise

    • Deep understanding of pharmacy operations, distribution channels, and reimbursement dynamics impacting pharmacy economics

    • Knowledge of payer, formulary, and market access landscapes

    • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical compliance, legal, and regulatory requirements

    • Ability to rapidly build expertise in therapeutic areas, products, and competitive environments

  • Communication Skills

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences

    • Strong presentation and negotiation capabilities

    • Ability to effectively communicate complex clinical, financial, and market information in a clear and compelling manner

  • Analytics & Business Insights

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and account performance metrics

    • Experience utilizing CRM systems and data tools to inform decision-making

    • Data-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Demonstrated success working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Market Access, Medical, and Reimbursement

    • Ability to align internal stakeholders around shared account objectives and strategies

    • Team-oriented approach with a commitment to sharing insights and best practices

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $169,000.00-$231,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of $60,000.00 of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
