Role purpose

Maximize sales of Amgen’s products in territory

  • Achieves sales targets for all allocated products in assigned territories. All these details are communicated on a cycle basis by email
  • Collaborates with manager to implement agreed POA in line with marketing strategy
  • Deliver key messages
  • Prepare, deliver and periodically update Territory Action Plan for assigned territory
  • Implement the actions proposed in Territory Action Plan
  • Identifies and establishes high quality customer relationships and internal collaboration
  • Knows in-depth knowledge of the product(s), market, stakeholders and competitors
  • Works within agreed budgets
  • Use in a compliant and timely manner all Amgen Systems

1. Responsibilities

  • Collaborates/aligns with manager to develop and implement territory POAs and key account plans in agreed timelines. Achieve POA
  • Evaluates progress vs. plan monthly and agrees to course corrections with manager
  • Contributes to developing account customer plan objectives/responsibilities
  • Solid product promotional knowledge, selling and presentation skills
  • Engages with peers, Marketing, Medical and BUM and cross functional team to learn best practices
  • Demonstrates an understanding of industry and healthcare trends, of how retail practices, clinics and hospitals operate
  • Identify and gather competitive information
  • Follows through on customer commitments and requests in a timely fashion
  • Reports daily customer activity in the CRM system and ensures customers recordings and customers' profiles are kept up to date
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities relevant to the role, within the scope of competencies, as assigned by the direct manager, based on organizational needs
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Amgen Performance 4 selling platform to satisfy customer and Amgen needs
  • Operates within the agreed expense budget aligned with POA priorities
  • Seeking advice and assistance to organize activities
  • Continuously develops and improves product knowledge, communication, selling skills and presentation skills through self-learning and active participation in agreed training programs. Drives own development

2. Qualifications

Minimum requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a sales-related job
  • Good knowledge of and experience in Cardiology Therapeutically Area or Cardio-Metabolic/Diabetology Therapeutically Area
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to design and prepare a strategy for a given region and hospital
  • Experience with computer systems (CRM databases and MS Office)
  • Fluency in Romanian, both in oral and written communication

Preferred requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry or similar
  • Previous experience in allocated area
  • Fluency in Romanian and English, both in oral and written communication
  • Experience in both Specialties & Primary Care selling environments
  • Experience in both specialties Cardiometabolic and Osteoporosis
