Job Description Summary

The Marketing Manager Sales, Acute is responsible for driving strategic marketing initiatives to support Medline’s growth and market leadership in the Canadian Acute sector. Reporting to the VP, Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Retail Sales, this role focuses on amplifying the Medline brand, enabling sales teams to succeed, and expanding customer acquisition through innovative and measurable marketing and digital strategies.

Job Description

The Marketing Manager Sales, Acute is responsible for driving strategic marketing initiatives to support Medline’s growth and market leadership in the Canadian Acute sector. Reporting to the VP, Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Retail Sales, this role focuses on amplifying the Medline brand, enabling sales teams to succeed, and expanding customer acquisition through innovative and measurable marketing and digital strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Value Proposition and Go-To-Market Strategic Work: Develop a compelling value proposition and go-to-market approach for Medline in the Acute sales channel with the VP Marketing, VP Sales, VP Medline Product Management, and other cross-functional experts.  This strategic oversight ensures that all marketing initiatives are well-aligned with organizational objectives and market needs.

  • Develop and Implement Annual Marketing Plan & Budget: Creates the annual marketing plan and budget for the Acute sales channel. Aligns with Sales, Product Management, and Contract teams on organizational objectives, and outlines key marketing activities, targeted campaigns, and strategic goals for the year, providing clear direction and KPIS to that deliver measurable sales growth and market expansion in the Canadian Acute sector.

  • Amplify and Activate our Brand: Lead the strategic development and execution of marketing strategies designed to elevate the Medline brand in the Canadian Acute market.  Create and implement brand and product marketing campaigns, sales enablement tools, develop Medical Education, find and develop key industry partnerships, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), create tradeshows, conferences, and event strategy, and develop promotional selling strategies that elevate brand positioning, ensure messaging resonates strongly with key stakeholders, differentiate Medline from competitors, and establish a distinct presence in the Acute channel across Canada. Reinforce Medline’s industry leadership, capture untapped segments, and support Medline’s expansion objectives in Canada.

  • Develop Sales Enablement Strategy and Tools: Create and deliver effective sales enablement tools and resources that empower sales teams to sell more high-value, high-margin products and services, supporting revenue growth and market share expansion.

  • Develop Product Marketing Support Tools: Partners with category management and sales teams to develop materials and product positioning that support Medline Product, Clinical, and Supply Chain offerings

  • Support RFP responses

  • Development of Medical Education opportunities

  • Develop Customer Acquisition and Lead Generation Programs: Develop and implement lead generation and other targeted marketing tactics to acquire new customers and expand Medline’s presence in Acute.

  • Performance Analytics: Measures marketing effectiveness using KPIs and ROI metrics; uses data insights to optimize campaigns and inform future strategy.

  • Evaluate Marketing Performance and Optimize Initiatives: Uses ROI analysis and campaign metrics to measure marketing effectiveness, informing future initiatives and driving continuous improvement in campaign execution.

  • Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration and Event Activation: Coordinates cross-functional collaboration through hosting channel discussions and managing marketing deliverables for events such as tradeshows, presentations, publications, and internal conferences, ensuring alignment with business goals and efficient execution within budget and timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business or Marketing, or equivalent experience

  • 3 to 5 years in a Marketing management role

  • Experience in the Canadian Acute market is an asset

  • Experience in Acute or a related field in a Marketing and Brand Managing capacity

  • Experience in aligning strategic initiatives to business objectives and analyzing and reporting ROI

  • Experience in managing, creating, leading integrated marketing campaigns

  • Experience in managing creative and digital agencies

  • Experience in delivering and leveraging data-driven business analytics and developing business insights

  • Past Acute Marketing experience, is advantageous

  • Strategic thinking with strong Acute market dynamics acumen

  • Strong project management in fast-paced environments

  • Data-driven decision making

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Project)

  • Bilingual – English and French (asset)

  • Ambassador for Medline culture

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$65,800.00 - $98,800.00 Annual
