Overview

The Regional Specialty Account Executive is responsible for driving specialty therapy growth across a defined geography by developing and managing relationships with key referral sources, including specialty physicians, health systems, and other healthcare providers. This role is accountable for achieving admissions, net revenue, and gross margin objectives for IVIG, chronic inflammatory disease therapies, and other targeted specialty medications.


Working across multiple Amerita branch locations, the Regional Specialty Account Executive develops and executes territory growth strategies that expand market share, increase prescriber engagement, and enhance referral development. This role partners closely with clinical, operations, and leadership teams to ensure seamless patient access and a high-quality referral experience.

Responsibilities

Territory Growth & Sales Execution

  • Achieve assigned admissions, revenue, and gross margin targets for specialty infusion therapies within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to drive growth of targeted specialty medications and therapies.
  • Identify, prioritize, and develop relationships with specialty physicians and other key referral sources to expand Amerita’s specialty therapy footprint.
  • Manage a defined geography that may include multiple Amerita branch locations and referral markets.

Referral Development & Provider Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with specialty physicians, advanced practice providers, and healthcare stakeholders who prescribe targeted therapies.
  • Educate referral sources on Amerita’s clinical capabilities, patient support services, and infusion therapy solutions.
  • Conduct in-service presentations, educational programs, and provider meetings to increase awareness and adoption of Amerita services.
  • Represent Amerita at local, regional, and national conferences, trade shows, and industry events.

Market Development & Strategic Collaboration

  • Identify new market opportunities and emerging specialty therapy trends to support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Partner with internal teams including clinical, reimbursement, intake, and operations to ensure efficient patient onboarding and referral conversion.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to sales leadership to inform regional and national strategies.
  • Collaborate with branch leadership to support growth initiatives and improve referral source engagement.

 

Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities, account plans, and pipeline opportunities within CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Develop and maintain quarterly territory business plans aligned with company sales objectives.
  • Track and report on referral trends, provider engagement, and market opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates to regional leadership regarding sales performance and territory growth initiatives.
  • Supervisory Responsibility: No

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, life sciences, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of healthcare or pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Experience in infusion therapy, specialty pharmacy, biologics, or related healthcare services preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with physicians and healthcare providers as primary call points.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare delivery models, reimbursement dynamics, and specialty therapy management preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and territory management capabilities
  • Knowledge of specialty infusion therapies, including IVIG and chronic inflammatory disease treatments.
  • Understanding of healthcare referral networks, physician practices, and infusion services.
  • Familiarity with reimbursement processes and payer considerations related to specialty therapies.
  • Strong consultative sales and relationship-building skills with physicians and healthcare providers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for provider education and in-service programs.
  • Effective territory management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and expand referral relationships within specialty physician networks.
  • Ability to collaborate with clinical, operational, and reimbursement teams to support patient access and referral conversion.
  • Ability to analyze territory performance and implement strategies to drive growth.

**To perform this role will require frequently sitting and typing on a keyboard with fingers, and occasionally standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing (stairs/ladders), kneeling, crouching, stooping. The physical requirements will be the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 1-10 lbs**

Salary Range

USD $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 / Year
