Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance, the PV Commercial Liaison provides operational oversight to ensure that all post-marketing safety reporting obligations are met in commercial programs, including marketing campaigns, patient support initiatives, and medical affairs activities. This role is key in ensuring alignment and compliance between the Pharmacovigilance and Commercial functions across the organization.

This role will additionally serve as the Local Person for Pharmacovigilance (LPPV) in Switzerland, ensuring compliance with Swiss PV regulations for products marketed in Switzerland, with an indirect reporting line to the EU Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV).

Key PV Commercial Liaison Responsibilities

  • Act as the PV point of contact for assigned Commercial and Medical Affairs teams
  • Represent PV in project teams, vendor meetings, and internal initiatives that involve external-facing activities
  • Coordinate and deliver targeted training for commercial, field-based, and medical team on safety reporting obligations
  • Ensure all required service providers and external vendors receive training on safety reporting obligations
  • Support the development of SOPs and training materials specific to commercial PV interfaces.
  • Maintain oversight of PV responsibilities within commercial contracts and vendor relationships
  • Monitor metrics and KPIs related to AE reporting compliance from commercial sources
  • Meet regularly or ad hoc with Commercial vendor leads to discuss AE report trends to support continuous improvement
  • Primary Contributor for assigned Modules and Annexes of the Pharmacovigilance System Master File (PSMF)
  • Perform additional tasks, as directed by management

Key LPPV Responsibilities

  • Serve as the designated local PV contact for Switzerland
  • Be available to Swissmedic for inspections, product recalls or urgent safety queries
  • Ensure alignment with global PV system
  • Maintain local PSMF, as required
  • Work closely with the QPPV Office Lead and participate in regular LPPV meetings
  • Collaborate with the global PV team and EU QPPV on PV matters, as required

 Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific discipline. Clinical experience (e.g. Clinical/Medical experience and / or Pharmacovigilance certification preferred
  • Drug Safety professional with a minimum of 8 years of experience within global drug safety and PV inclusive of case quality control and regulatory submissions of ICSRs worldwide
  • Experience in managing teams and external vendors, including indirect management
  • Excellent organizational skills, sufficient to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence multiple functions
  • Strong regulatory knowledge of Swiss PV framework
  • Knowledge of global safety reporting requirements
  • Experience with coordinating and participating in audits and local PV regulatory inspections
